Following on from the success of the first conference on Islamists and Democratic Governance held in Doha in October, 2012, ACRPS announces that the second conference on this theme will be held from September 28 to 30, 2013. The 2013 event is entitled "Islamist Movements and Questions of Citizenship, the Nation and the State: Historical Precedents, Current Perspectives and Future Prospects".

ACRPS invites interested scholars and researchers to submit original in-depth research papers, which will be subject to rigorous academic refereeing. Proposed themes and topics to be addressed in the research papers can be found in the background note to the conference. Authors are kindly requested to abide by ACRPS submission guidelines, available on the ACRPS website.

In order for your paper to be considered, kindly ensure that a detailed abstract, including an outline of the proposed research topic, is sent to the email address below no later than April 15, 2013:

Final drafts of the accepted papers must be submitted no later than June 30, 2013.
