Holds a PhD from the International University of Africa in Sudan. He is a Professor and Research Fellow at the IUA African Research and Studies Center in the departments of Political Science and Comparative Religions and is specialized in the Horn of Africa. He has authored many publications, including his book: al-aqaliyat al-irqī ya wad-d īnīya wa dawrha fī-t-ta’āyush al-qawmi fī īthīyūbīa, 1930-2007.
