A Syrian writer and novelist of Palestinian origin, he studied journalism at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Damascus, served as an editor in Arab newspapers and periodicals and as a full-time researcher at tresearch centers in Damascus and Dubai. He has published a number of novels and non-fiction books, including his 2018 novel, The Birds of Darwin.
