The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies has announced a workshop titled “Forced Migration in the Arab States” to be held on 30 November - 1 December 2019 in Doha.
Despite dynamic activity from organizations, institutions and bodies that study and propose solutions to the phenomenon of forced migration in the Arab countries, the phenomenon has not been sufficiently studied by Arab academics and researchers. In an effort to bridge this gap, the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, has invited Arab researchers and academics concerned with studying forced migration in the Arab world, both external and internal to participate in this workshop. The work will focus on five Arab countries: Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Sudan, which produce the largest volume of refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.
