Conferences, Symposia and Seminars

The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies regularly organizes conferences, lectures, and symposia, where it welcomes expert participants to contribute their insight. Regular events at the Center include the five main series of conferences: the Biennial Conference of the Social Sciences and Humanities; the Annual Conference on Democratic Transition; the Annual Gulf Studies Forum; the Annual Conference of Historical Studies; and the Annual Arabs and the World Conference. The continually expanding agenda of the Center also includes a series of multi-thematic conferences, seminars and workshops.

Doha, Qatar | 20 November 2019

The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies will hold an academic symposium on Wednesday 20 November 2019, titled “Lebanon Protests: Local and Regional Context and the Future of the Political System”. The symposium will discuss the causes, background, implications and prospects of the protests, the attitudes of political forces towards them, and the influence of regional powers on them. It is attended by a group of Arab researchers and academics. This is in line with the Arab Center’s mission to address Arab issues and regional and international political developments.
