The Iranian Studies Unit at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) is holding its 2023 annual conference, titled “Iran’s Look East Policy,” to be held from 6-7 September 2023.

The 2023 annual conference of the ACRPS’s Iranian Studies Unit will examine Iran’s “Look East” policy, broadly conceived as the Islamic Republic’s relations with countries other than those in Europe and North America. The conference will explore the policy’s origins, implications, challenges, and opportunities, as well as Iranian and other perspectives on the Islamic Republic’s international relations with countries to its geographic east and in the global south more broadly.
