The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies is welcoming research proposals for the ninth Social Sciences and Humanities Conference, which will be held in March 2023. The topic of conference will be “The Concept of ‘Political Culture’ and Political Cultures in the Arab world.”
Only Arabic language research will be presented. Those who wish to participate in the conference can send their proposals according to the following guidelines:
Abstract for the proposal (from 1000 to 1500 words) must be sent no later than 15 December 2021, along with an academic CV to: annualconference@dohainstitute.org.
The abstract should include: (a) the research hypothesis; (b) context; (c) the main research problems; (d) methodology; (e) sources. The research should relate to the conference topic “the concept of ‘political culture’ and political cultures in the Arab world” as indicated in the (Arabic) background paper.
The organizing committee decides on research proposals following submission and informs the researcher of the accepted proposals, inviting them to complete their research. The initial approval of the abstract/research proposal is subject to peer-review of the complete research (6000-10000 words). The final paper will be approved no later than 15 October 2022.
All research presented will be entered for the Arab Prize for Research in Social Sciences and Humanities, unless the participant opts out of the competition in writing.
