The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) Tunis office will host an academic symposium on “Poverty and the Poor in the Maghreb” on November 26-28, 2015. The Academic Committee overseeing the symposium now invites interested scholars to submit research papers within the scope provided by the Background Paper (link). Submissions will be accepted in line with the following timeframe:

1)      Together with a brief CV, scholars should submit an exhaustive abstract of no more than 400 words which includes: an outline of their proposed research paper, the research problem it addresses, methodology and a list of the references and sources used, no later than July 15, 2015. All submissions should be sent to henda.carep@gmail.com  and carep.tn@gmail.com   

2)      Proposals which are selected are then sent for review by a specialized academic committee. Following the committee’s decision, authors will be notified in writing of the paper’s acceptance, rejection or request for amendments by August 20, 2015.

3)      Completed submissions should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words in length, inclusive of footnotes and bibliography/list of references.
