His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, today inaugurated the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, which shares its offices with the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies.  During the visit, HH the Emir toured the new campus where graduate students from various Arab countries study the social sciences and humanities. Welcoming him to the site were Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Doha Institute, Dr. Azmi Bishara; Vice Chairman, Dr. Sheikh Abdulla Al Thani; Acting President, Dr. Yasir Suleiman Malley; and Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Hend Al Muftah.  

 His Highness the Emir of Qatar attends the official opening ceremony of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.

Following an unveiling of a commemorative wall plaque, HH the Emir also attended a presentation detailing the development of the Institute since its conception in 2011.  The presentation also included a description of the Doha Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language, a separate project launched by the ACRPS in 2013.
