Hikama (a public policy and public administration journal published by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies) is planning a special issue focused on “The Governance of Defence, Security, and Intelligence in Arab Countries” for publication in 2024. The special issue will include peer-reviewed articles along with policy papers.

Timelines

• Manuscript proposal (250-500 words) submission deadline: July 15, 2023
• Deadline to submit draft manuscript with preliminary findings: November 30, 2023.
• Workshop to be held in March
• Deadline to submit revised manuscript (7,000-10,000 words, incorporating feedback from the workshop): April 30, 2024.
• Length of peer-review process: 3 months
• The Journal also welcomes critical review (between 1500 and 3000 words).
