The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the ninth annual issue of Istishraf. The issue also includes a translation for an executive summary titled “The Path to a New Era for Nuclear Energy” by International Energy Agency. The issue features two book reviews: Nuclear War: A Scenario by Najah Abdulhalim; and Nuclear Power: Technology, Geopolitics, and Economics by Editorial Board. The issue includes also the “Future Issues” section, which contains studies and articles outside the issue's main theme that are of interest to the field of future studies. It includes the study “The Future of Research and Innovation in Oman: Vision 2040 and Beyond” by Yousuf bin Hamed Al Balushi; “Artificial Intelligence 2025-2040: Foresight Synthesis of Political Economy, Sociotechnical Systems, and Democratic Governance” by Ahmed Qasem Hussein; “Towards a More Equal Future: A Geographical Perspective” by Mahdi Al-Awrabi; “Nuclear Energy in Space: A Foresight Essay (2025-2050)” by Editorial Board. The section also includes a number of translations and presentations of the most prominent recent publications in the field of future studies.
