The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the 81st issue of Siyasat Arabiya, a bimonthly peer-reviewed journal of political science and international relations. This issue contains the following articles: “The Epochal Collapse: How Do Theories of Revolution Explain the Collapse of the Assad Regime?” by Marwan Kabalan; “'Counter-terrorism' in Egyptian Legislation: Reflections on Law No. 97 of 18 July 1992” by Naglaa Mekkawi; “Mobilizing Internal Security Forces to Support Qatar's National Defence” by Abdulrahman Saeed Al Kuwari; and “Surveillance Studies (2002–2024): Trends, Transformations, and Lessons for Political Science” by Kamal Hamidou and Imene Khattaf.
The Arab Index section features “Syrian Public Opinion in the Transitional Period: An Analysis of the 2025 Arab Opinion Index Findings” by Ahmed Qasem Hussein. The translation section features “Does Oil Hinder Democracy?” by Michael L. Ross, rendered in Arabic by Morad Diani. The issue also documents key events in Palestine over the two-month period from 1 May to 30 June 2026. Finally, it features Rachid El-Bazzim's review of the book Le moment régulateur: Naissance d'une contre-culture de gouvernement, edited by Antoine Vauchez.
