​Following an opening ceremony attended by official representatives of the State of Qatar, the academic council of the Doha Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language held its first meeting on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Doha. The council will later announce their decisions regarding the electronic corpus, the project's completion plan, and the meta-data to be collated for the words compiled.
