The Fourth Annual Conference of the Iranian Studies Unit, titled “The Social Sciences and Humanities in Iran: Possibilities and Constraints”, which was scheduled for 9–10 October 2024, was canceled due to unforeseen geopolitical developments in the region.

Despite the cancellation, several of the accepted papers were published by the Iranian Studies Unit of the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies. The remaining papers were published in two academic journals: Sociology of Islam and Muslim World.
