Omran, the ACRPS journal devoted to the social sciences and humanities, invites researchers and interested authors to submit research papers to a special issue focusing on "Current Social Transformations in the Arabian Gulf".

Omran welcomes academic contributions  that address one of the questions presented in the background paper (see here). Researchers are encouraged to concentrate their efforts on individual cities or countries to help advance knowledge and sustain knowledge of the topics in question.

Prospective authors interested in contributing should submit outlines of their work in the form of an abstract to: omran@dohainstitute.org  

Abstracts should be no more than 500 words in length and should illustrate the proposed research methodology. In addition, submitting authors are invited to include an academic biography. All materials should be received  no later than 15 June 2018. 

Authors whose proposals are accepted will be notified by 30 June 2018. Completed drafts must be submitted by 10 January, 2019, while final publication will be subject to a peer review process.
