The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies will be hosting a symposium titled "The Sudanese National Crisis: Post-Independence Failures" on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha, Qatar. This is an open meeting, and will take place on the sidelines of the second brainstorming session for Sudanese intellectuals and politicians, being held in Doha from September 22-24.
The following people are taking part in the symposium: Mahjoub Mohammed Saleh, proprietor of Sudan's Al Ayyam newspaper; Dr. Abdullah Ali Ibrahim, the well-known Sudanese writer and academic; Dr. Mohammed Othman Abdulmalik, academic and founder of Nile Valley University; and Abbakar Adam Ismail, Sudanese novelist and a researcher on questions of periphery/center relations.
Members of the public are more than welcome to attend the sessions which begin at 6:30 PM, at the Al Mukhtasar Ballroom in Doha's Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
