The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, in cooperation with the Arab Association for Constitutional Law, is holding its Ninth Annual Conference on Issues of Democracy and Democratization under the title “The Constitutional Issue and Democratic Transition in Arab Countries,” from 24-29 September 2020.

This year's conference will be convened via Zoom and will be broadcast on the Arab Center's social media platforms, to allow the public to follow the proceedings.

The conference presents 23 research papers that were judged according to the rules followed by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies. They include case studies and comparative and theoretical studies. On the sidelines of the conference, Arab and foreign experts will convene in four sessions with the aim of providing a hearing to persons who have participated in constitutional experiments and constitution-making bodies in Arab countries, or who closely accompanied these as advisors and experts, to gain their assessment of comparable experiences in the Arab countries and glean the most prominent lessons from international experiences of constitutional issues and democracy for the benefit of the Arab world.

Those wishing to participate in the conference sessions, whether specialist researchers and academics or the public at large, may register for the conference sessions according to the attached agenda.
