In light of global precautions, including the postponement of many regional and international conferences and forums due to the growing concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and in order to preserve participant and public safety, the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies has taken the decision to postpone all its conferences scheduled for March and April 2020.

These include the Arab National and Regional Security Challenges conference that was scheduled to be held in Doha on 14-15 March 2020, and the ACRPS Conference for Arab Graduate Students in Western Universities scheduled for 28-30 March in Doha and the seventh Annual Historical Studies conference, 100 years on from the 1920 Iraq Revolution: Narratives of the Nation State and the Struggle over Memory, which was planned to be held in Doha on 11-12 April. Also postponed is the Freedom and Loss of Freedom symposium scheduled to be held in Tunis on 17-18 April.

These events will be re-scheduled at a later date. The Center remains committed to publishing peer-reviewed research and books and all email cooperation is to continue. The committees responsible for these conferences will communicate with all participants regarding the research that has already been approved in order to inform them of the new date.
