صدور العدد الثالث والأربعين من دورية عمران

The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the 43rd issue (Winter 2023) of the quarterly peer-reviewed journal Omran, dedicated to the social sciences. This edition contains the following studies: “Statistical Analysis in Sociology: The New Positivist Approach” by Mohamed Faoubar & Khalid Zaghari; “The Anthropology of Global Warming: The Climate, Human Rights, and Global Human Coexistence” by Amr Osman; “22 February 2019 Hirak and Arab Spring Uprisings: The Limits of the Algerian Exception Narrative?” by Mohammed Hemchi & Abdennour Benantar; “The Lived Experiences of the Palestinian Women from the Occupied Palestinian Territory who are married and reside within the ‘Green Line’” by Suhad Daher-Nashif & Areen Hawari.

Also provided is a translation of John W Meyer & Brian Rowan’s “Institutionalized Organizations: Formal Structure as Myth and Ceremony” by Osama Mohammed. Three book reviews are also featured in Omran 43: Jibril Ali's review of The Oxford Handbook of the Sociology of the Middle East by Armando Salvatore, Sari Hanafi & Kieko Obuse (eds.); Mahmoud Dhaouadi's review of Decolonizing Sociology: An Introduction by Ali Meghji; and Mohamed A.
