The third and final day of the ACRPS’ Arab Graduate Students Conference was held on Monday, 26 March. More than 80 Arab graduate students based in Western universities took part in the first-of-its-kind conference. The final day began with a panel of Doha-based academics offering their assessment of the challenges and difficulties facing Arab academia.

An ACRPS conference of Arab graduate students based in Western universities continued for a second day on Sunday, 25 March. A plenary session on this second day introduced the participants, who traveled to Qatar to attend, to the ACRPS’ research agenda.

Launch of the Arab Graduate Students Conference

The "Arab Graduate Students Conference" conference, which is being held by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Doha, kicked off on Saturday 24 March 2018. The academic committee, in the application period, had received 250 research proposals, of which 83 were accepted, arriving from more than 40 Western Universities in Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States of America, within numerous disciplines in the social sciences and humanities.

83 PhD students will be presenting the latest research at an academic conference

On March 24-26 2018, The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies will hold its Arab Graduate Students Conference, at its premises in Doha. This is the first conference of its kind in the Arab region, with its importance lying in the establishment of a dynamic interactive space between Arab doctoral researchers in Western universities and academic institutions in the Arab world.
